Our Brands

Imps & Elf's

Imps&elfs originated in 1977 as a modest children's label without frills and fancies, which

concentrates on the shape of the child. Fons Cohen is the owner and founder, and Jacqueline

Streng the designer. The collection is divided into newborn and a toddlers line, which is on

sale here at BABYLOVE.

The head office, design studio and Imps&elfs flagship store are established in South

Amsterdam.

Imps&elfs work with MADE-BY to clean up the production process. The ultimate goal of this

cooperation between fashion & fair trade is to produce clothes that are 100% child labour free

and made from organic cotton.

Mini A Ture

HTM GROUP the company behind MINI A TURE and WHIITE was founded in 2002. In 2007 the

design team behind MINI A TURE got new members in order to continue the development of

the brand and the four yearly collections, however still founded on the same idea; Designing

clothes that reach beyond the Danish borders, clothes that is international in its look but at the

same stands the hard wear and tear of children. This unique combination has made MINI A

TURE an increasing success ever since.

The main part of the MINI A TURE collection is created to active boys and girls who love to play,

run, climb trees, build sand castles - in other words live and act like children. The other, smaller

part of the collection is more festive with lovely dresses and handsome knitwear.

Interesting, original and beautiful details is a trademark for both collections, as for MINI A TURE.

The playfulness and humour shows in the choice of materials and mix of colours.

The fabrics are always the best quality to ensure maximum durability and are tested every

season. Business partners are handpicked with the same care to ensure quality in clothes and

production. Altogether the MINI A TURE look is colourful, joyous and naive just like children.

Not children, not grown up, but cool yet made for playing.

HTM GROUP is built on a philosophy of sustainable resources, not only within the company,

but also reaching as far as the production sites. Social responsibility is closely connected to

this philosophy and is more than a buzz word for HTM GROUP; acknowledgements of how to

obtain the best working environment.

Furthermore, it is crucial to HTM GROUP that charity is not something done once a year, but a

lasting hand reaching out to people in need helping them to help themselves. Therefore HTM

GROUP has chosen to support an Indian orphanage run by Dane Yrsa Gruning. As a result

clothing to wear or sell and financial aid are regularly sent to the Sunway Children's Home that

depends on this support.

Anne-claire Petit

Anne-Claire Petit (1962) studied industrial design in Eindhoven. With her predilection for

fashion in general, and fabrics, bags and shawls in particular, Anne-Claire began to attract

attention with her designs for the accessories department of Esprit.

After four successful years working for the international label, it was time to elevate her

inspiration and creativity to a higher plane. The designer began her own label under the name

anne-claire petit accessories.

The accessories from the first anne-claire petit collections easily found ready buyers within the

Netherlands. But in just a few years, the collections began to spark the interest of international

buyers as well. The designs burst onto the European and Japanese markets and anne-claire

collections are now sold in hundreds of boutiques and department stores in twentyfour

different countries.

Since 1999, Anne-Claire's sphere of activity has shifted to original interior and children's

designs. The colourful accessories are divided into the 'New Born' collection, a children's

clothing line, the stuffed animal family and an interior collection.

What hasn't changed is the recognizable style of anne-claire petit accessories. It is a timeless

signature that is especially typified by craftsmanship, natural fabrics and distinct use of colour.

Organics For Kids

100% Organic

We currently source our certified organic cotton from two organic cotton suppliers, with whom

we work very closely.  When it is available, we use certified Fairtade cotton, and when it is not

available we are nevertheless confident that our cotton is fairly traded (meaning that farmers

are paid a reasonable and normally premium price for their cotton, and are not exploited in the

process). All of our cotton from both suppliers is certified organic by one or more of the

following:

SKAL: SKAL is an internationally recognised (Dutch) body, which ensures that the cotton is

grown organically, and that the processing (spinning, weaving, washing, dyeing, etc) is

undertaken in an environmentally responsible way.

IMO: Both of our stockists are also certified by the Swiss organic certification body, IMO.

GOTS: Our cotton also adheres to the new GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARDS.

Soil Association: We have recently become certified by the The Soil Association and this covers

many of our products.  We hope it will very soon cover our entire range.

Our dyes: The dyes used on our fabrics are not organic themselves, but meet the Oeko-tex 100

standard, which protects against harmful substances. They are also covered by the

obove organic inspection processes.

Made in England

We are passionate about supporting the local textile sector and workers.  The majority of our

range is manufactured in the UK, at a small factory just outside Nottingham. We have worked

with this factory since we started and have a close working relationship, which allows us

flexibility and excellent quality control.  We have watched the factory struggle to survive the

rush to off-shore manufacting, and we are committed to working with them.  This gives us the

confidence to know the conditions under which our garments are being manufactured and we

believe that the quality they produce is unbeatable.  We are delighted that the factory has been

approved to make our clothes by the Soil Association.

Made in India

A small part of our collection is manufactured by a Fairtrade Foundation approved factory in

India. We have visited the factory and are confident that they have good social and

environmental standards. The factory grows its own cotton, some of which is also certified by

the Fairtrade Foundation. While we support the efforts of the Fairtrade Foundation in

developing countries, we are also passionate about supporting the UK textile sector and

workers, and have a commitment to manufacturing the majority of our range in the UK.

Katvig

Katvig is the story of the little company that in just five years has grown throughout Denmark's

borders with our special and contemporary designs for children. From the first Katvig™

Collection the aim has been to attract fashion conscious parents and the classic stripes are

now being worn by children of all ages. However, Katvig is much more than stripes and apple

prints and has therefore long been established as one of Scandinavia's leading children's wear

labels. We sell clothes to countries such as Greenland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Holland,

England, Spain, Germany, Japan and of course BABYLOVE.

Katvig's designs are courageous and dare to be unique. The methods of production are now

being refined. We are actively looking at all areas of production to eventually attain

manufacturing processes that are as green and sustainable as possible. It applies to

everything from environmentally friendly fabrics, sustainable choice of materials, handtags,

bags and boxes, and the recycling of boxes for dispatching products.

Franck & Fisher

Franck & Fisher: Our vision is to create unique design for children and those young at heart.

Fashion trends, vintage images, impressions from travelling, and childhood memories are main

sources of inspiration. The graphic and naive shapes with few and carefully chosen details,

gives this concept its unique and humorous expression that often makes us smile

Our priority is to aim for a high standard in our quality, this being production, delivery and

service. We see our product as a new representative of the classical Danish design tradition.

Production is in the Far East. We believe in fair trade and have great attention to our

relationship to our suppliers and their employees.

Annemarie Franck graduated as a fashion designer from the Danish Design Academy in 1988.

After a number of years as a designer for the garment company In Wear and after a career as a

freelance designer for among others Bestseller, Signal, Lego, Brio and Rice, she is now in

charge of the creative concept of Franck & Fisher.

Charlotte Fisher’s educational background is business economics (University of Århus) from

1990 and an MBA from France in 1993. After several years in various administrative positions,

she is now head of administration and sales for Franck & Fisher.
